Project Performing Arts provides a space to empower kids & teens through artistic expression and creativity. Ages 4 through 17 can enjoy a variety of classes in Ballet, Tap Dance, Ballet, Drums, and Musical Theater! Their offering also includes the exceptional IMANI dance program for older teens 13-17. Classes are held on Saturdays at the Lt. Joseph P. Kennedy Center on 134th Street.
Wendy Hilliard Gymnastics offers award winning gymnastics in Harlem for kids aged 3 to 17. The younger ones focus on hand-eye coordination to lay the foundation for building skills. The older children learn discipline, tumbling, rhythmic gymnastics and development of gymnastic skills such as back bends, handstands and cartwheels!
Sword Class NYC offers a variety of classes for Kids and Adults, including fencing, kendo and long sword with times throughout the week. However their popular Light Saber Fitness classes meet on the weekends for children between the ages of 5 to 12. This class is taught using long sword and kendo techniques and kids can use the provided light sabers, or bring their favorite one from home.
Harlem Yoga offers Yoga for the whole family on Saturday mornings! Adult and Children (Toddlers & Up) learn and play Yoga together – using games, discussion, music, and more, children learn the basics of Yoga, both the physical movements, and the mental practice of focusing and calming the mind, while adults get to stretch, strengthen, and play with their little Yogis.
Hidden Gems Archery is an elite academy for everyone aged 9 and up to learn the proper handling and techniques for archery practice. Hidden Gems teaches traditional archery with recurve bows. They also offer community programs, and private lessons for smaller children and special events. Classes are held Saturdays in East Harlem.
FC Harlem Lions & Harlem Youth Soccer offer Saturday Soccer classes for Boys and Girls ages 5 to 12. Coaches use fun games and drills to teach the basics of soccer in a low pressure environment. Spots are limited so sign up quickly! *Must be from Harlem, Washington Heights or The Bronx – proof of residency is required.
