This Sunday, October 28th from 10 AM – 5 PM (9 AM start time for Members) the Sugarhill Children’s Museum is hosting a “boo-tastic”  Halloween party! It’s a day full of fun activities like a Slime Kitchen, pumpkin patch and a game of Freeze Dance. View a full list of the day’s events on their site.

And in case you missed the re-opening, the Museum had a brief reno which added a few new exhibits. Here’s a taste of their new exhibits below. Featured are works by iconic American artist Faith Ringgold – Sugar Hill Songbook: Select Work by Faith Ringgold, New York-based artist Yuken Teruya – Cutting Trees, a new mural by Las Vegas-based artist Justin Favela – Recuérdame, and Artist-in-Residence Damien Davis. Mr. Davis has an extensive background in the Arts. His work at the Museum will focus on “a new body of work using the aesthetics of waiting rooms in children’s hospitals, which exist as a site for both nostalgia and trauma” as per Davis.
