This class starts babies on a pathway of music development that will allow them to embrace, enjoy, and express their inborn musicality. The delight of this class is seeing how truly responsive to babies are, and discovering how to recognize and support their music behaviors. Rhythm Kids® Level 1 (ages 4-5)
In a Rhythm Kids® class, students explore rhythm by playing with music from around the world. Rhythm Kids Level 1 is geared for late preschoolers who are ready to take charge of their music learning! This class includes rhythm and drumming, singing, dancing, playing instruments and music-based games. Children are guided toward developmentally appropriate music and movement activities where they can get active, express themselves, make up their own drumming patterns, invent new ways to play rhythm instruments, create movement ideas for songs, and even take a drum solo! Grownups get to stay and play!
Rhythm Kids® Level 2 (K-2nd Grade)
At this level, children learn complicated multicultural drumming patterns with a tried-and-true method, while developing new repertoire on percussion instruments, learning music-reading readiness, exploring movement and dance, deepening their vocal ability, and playing fun music games! Consider this the beginning step of instrument study! Students should have their own hand drum for use at home and for use in class. Parents/caregivers are welcome to stay and play or drop-off.

In addition to basic instrument study, children learn a non-formal approach to laying the foundation for learning music in a developmentally appropriate and fun way. Lessons incorporate singing, dancing, clapping, games, and other musical exploration. Older students enjoy a stronger focus on singing in their music lessons. Half the lesson focuses on piano skills and the other half on vocal warm-up and beginner vocal literature. $45 for a 30-minute lesson. Schedule a lesson by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
